The Dermoscopy Excellence Digital Training “New Chapters” is an intensive and detailed updated course on Dermoscopy, with a focus on practical cases and pediatric dermoscopy.
This high-quality course aims to engage participants through an innovative teaching approach. It is structured into two chapters, comprising six and four modules, respectively.
Practical Cases Chapter
Prof Giuseppe Argenziano, former President of the IDS, and Prof Aimilios Lallas, current President of the International Dermoscopy Society, present and discuss both common and challenging cases of melanocytic and non-melanocytic tumors. They delve into each case’s nuances, offering invaluable insights into their diagnostic approach. Their engaging discussions dissect the intricacies of lesion assessment and decision-making, providing a comprehensive and practical understanding.
Pediatric Dermoscopy Chapter
Dr Vincenzo Piccolo, MD, illustrates how dermoscopy is a key diagnostic tool in pediatric dermatology. It is a fast, painless, and effective method that reduces the need for invasive procedures, which are often challenging for children. This chapter includes four modules focused on pediatric dermoscopy insights.
The course is designed for exclusive online participation, featuring a dynamic format that blends professional expertise with engaging, interactive content. Each lesson concludes with a discussion, allowing participants to verify their ideas and clarify any concerns.

This new course is performed by Giuseppe Argenziano, former President of the International Dermoscopy Society (IDS), full Professor and Head of the Dermatology Unit at the University of Campania, Naples, Italy, Co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of Dermatology Practical and Conceptual Journal, Aimilios Lallas, current President of the International Dermoscopy Society (IDS) and Board-Certified Dermatologist-Venereologist at the First Department of Dermatology of Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, and Vincenzo Piccolo, the Head of the Pediatric Dermatology Service at the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli. He teaches Dermatology in the Pediatric Specialization Courses and second-level Master’s programs, is a dermatologist for the National Tumor Association (ANT), and is a peer reviewer for Healthcert.
The goal of digital training is to transfer a methodological approach and an integrated and homogeneous vision on the fundamentals elements of dermoscopy, useful in the daily practice.
You will find the teaching material in PDF format whitin each module. For each module, slides are available to be consulted while using the video or later. They refer to the topic covered by the two tutors and so you can focus on the images, enlarge them and make reference to the issues discussed in the lessons.
The digital training is developed in 10 modules of 1 hour each, for a total of 10 hours. In each module the tutors will address a topic by submitting different clinical cases. The presentation develops in a comparison between the two tutors, in order to provide the doctors with themes and answers to any doubts.
The modules of the course includes different themes and can be followed in a non-sequential way.
After analyzing all the modules, the doctor is invited to verify his/her knowledge by completing a final test. Done this, the certificate of participation in the Dermoscopy Excellence Digital Training, accredited by the International Dermoscopy Society, can be downloaded in the personal area of each participant.
At the end of payment you will receive a specific email with the instructions for requesting the invoice. You can also request an invoice by sending an email at dermoscopyexcellence@meeter.it. You can start your application no later than 48 hours after purchasing the course. It is not possible to request the invoice using the chat.
You will be able to access the contents of the Digital Training forever. Each module can be consulted every time you will need it. The structure of the course has been designed just for this aim.
The final test can only be taken once. Nonetheless, before submitting definitively, you can change your answers as often as you like.
